making amends... or making things worse?

 He knew he had screwed up with Hannah, which was the only reason he had gone to the bar.  to give her space and clear his head.  

Chris had an empty bottle and one half full in front of him, trying to focus on the basketball game on the screen which for the most part sucked to watch, but hey, kept him from doing something stupid like picking a bar fight with one of the jerks over by the pool tables.  THey were drunk and the waitress clearly wanted nothing to do with them.
